February 25: Simple Minds were No 1 with "Belfast Child" 30 years ago today

"Belfast Child" is a song by Simple Minds, first released as the lead track on the "Ballad of the Streets" EP in February 1989. It spent one week at No 1 in the UK Singles Chart. The song also appeared on their No 1 album Street Fighting Years.
