Carlton Television (1993-2002)

Carlton Television (now part of the non-franchised ITV London region) was the ITV franchise holder for London and the surrounding counties Monday morning to Friday evening.

Carlton started broadcasting at the stroke of midnight on January 1, 1993, with the station's first programme A Carlton New Year presented by Chris Tarrant. Aptly, its first commercial break featured an advert for the Vauxhall Carlton.
