Associated-Rediffusion (1955-1968)

Associated-Rediffusion, later Rediffusion London, was the British ITV contractor for London and parts of the surrounding counties, on weekdays between 1954 and July 1968. Transmissions started on September 22, 1955 and the company is credited with being the first Independent Television company to be launched. The company arose from Rediffusion.
